Requirements for Obtaining a Demolition Permit:
- Site plan including property lines, existing structures, structures to be demolished, and location of septic components (if applicable)
- Copy of receipt from ORCAA Demolition Permit

- Copy of asbestos report
- Completed Demolition Permit Application (PDF)
- Additional Notes:
- There is a 14-day waiting period from the date of payment to ORCAA to when your Demolition Permit can be issued
- If your site is near a water body or other critical area, special conditions may apply
- When property is jointly owned or owned by others, letters from all owners must be submitted indicating project approval
Requirements for Applying for a Miscellaneous Building Permit:
- Miscellaneous Building Permit Application Checklist (PDF)
- Completed Application
- Detailed Scaled Site Plan
- Site Plan Requirements Checklist (PDF)
- Must be on 11" x 17" paper
- Scale must be 1" x 20' minimum and 1" x 200' maximum
- Not required for Re-Roof applications
- Structural Drawings (if applicable)- 2 copies
- Minimum 11" x 17" drawings scaled at 1/4" per 1' to include:
- Foundation, Floor, Framing, and Roof Framing Plans
- Prescriptive braced wall line locations and calculations for both seismic and wind loads (site specific)
- Elevations - all four directions
- Structural Cross Sections and Details
- Truss Design
- Minimum 11" x 17" drawings scaled at 1/4" per 1' to include:
- Structural Calculations stamped by Washington State Licensed Engineer and/or Architect (if applicable) - 2 copies
- Proof of Ownership (if applicable)
Additional Requirements to Obtain a Permit (if applicable):
- Proof of Potable Water
- Current Septic System
- Proof of sewer connection
- 911 Address
- Road Approach Permit
- Drainage Plan
- If your site is near a water body or other critical area, special conditions may apply.
- Electrical permits are required and issued by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
- When property is jointly owned or owned by others, letters from all owners must be submitted indicating project approval.
- If your lot has more than one road frontage, you must select a front yard for zoning setback purposes.
- Any parcel located in the Dungeness Water Rule area may require mitigation for use of a well.
