Electronic Waste

ECycleThere are several options for free disposal of electronic waste in Clallam County depending on what you are disposing of through the E-Cycle Washington program.

Goodwill

Both the Port Angeles (360-452-2440) and Sequim (360-681-2635) locations will take the following:

  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Televisions (Call ahead to schedule drop-offs of large, heavy TVs)
  • Portable DVD players
  • Monitors
  • Tablets

BatteryBatteries Disposal

Single-use Alkaline Batteries

These batteries no longer contain harmful materials and can be placed in your normal trash. It is still possible for batteries to start fires however if they are not disposed of properly. Make sure they are placed in a non-metal container and their ends are not touching each other.

Rechargeable Batteries

These batteries can be recycled at the Home Depot battery recycling kiosk located near their Customer Service Desk.

Auto Batteries

These batteries can be taken to any Transfer Station during regular operating hours.

All Other E-Waste

Head on over to the E-Cycle Washington website to see who will take specific types of e-waste in neighborhood.  Unfortunately in many cases, out-of-county travel will be necessary for recycling options.
