Panorama Vista County Park, established in 1976, provides beach access with a short walk, down a gradual grade, to a three-mile stretch of tidelands owned by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. The WDNR parcel runs from the end of Travis Spit on Sequim Bay, east, to the mid-point of Thompson Lagoon. Clallam County Parks Department has maintained this public beach access since 1984.
Traveling on East Sequim Bay Road, turn right onto Panorama Boulevard. Driving to the end of the road, turn right on Buck Loop Road. A small parking area is situated at the intersection of Buck Loop Road and Deer Court, in the Panorama Vista Subdivision, 25 miles east of Port Angeles.
Breathe deep the salt-laden air and take in the views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Protection Island and, weather permitting, glorious Mt. Baker. The cobblestone shoreline is inviting for beach and bird-watching enthusiasts.
