Our Mission

Project SAFER (Special Assistance For Emergency Response) will strive to improve encounters between community members who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and members of our police, fire and emergency personnel. Individuals, families, care providers, and community partners will collaborate to ensure inclusive and secure emergency interactions by supplying First Responders with details regarding approach preferences, communication needs, and strategies. This initiative aims to enhance safety for all parties involved.
